Summary:

Storyline (Warning: Contain Spoilers!)
The story begin with Frank Abagnale, the father of Frank Abagnale Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio) giving a speech. He gave his usual quotes that resulted in everyone applause for him.
"Two little mice fell in a bucket of cream. The first mouse quickly gave
up and drowned. The second mouse, wouldn't quit. He struggled so hard
that eventually he churned that cream into butter and crawled out.
Gentlemen, as of this moment, I am that second mouse."
The story then goes on until Frank get in high school, and being bullied because of his formal clothes. This is the first time where Frank show his intelligent. At that time when his friend started to shouting at him, he acts as if he's the teacher. He even make the teacher who supposed to teach that time leave. After this incident, the counseling called both Frank and his parents. But after that they just laugh.
It's a happy family story until Frank's parents decided to get divorced. This brought Frank into shock, then he decided to run away from home by bringing his check book.
This is where the story really began, I think.
As Frank didn't brought any money and only brought his check book (well he didn't have any money because he's just a high school student of course), he started to think of a plan. He tried to visit various bank to take money from his check book but always failed.
Until he finally got his first money after he have visited like thousand banks.
From here, he started to learn...

After that, he learned that if he became a pilot he'll have more check book with great value of money inside it. He wanted to become a pilot then. To achieve that, he disguised himself as a school reporter and went to airport to find information about how to be a pilot. He did all of this just to learn how to disguise himself as a pilot.
Unbelievably, he managed to became a pilot. Of Pan Am airport.

As day goes by, some FBI agent started to notice him. His name is Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks. Carl then started his investigation on Frank, until one day they finally met each other at some inn where Frank stays.

But again, Frank used his intelligence to get away from this situation. He's impersonating as another agent to tricking Carl that he already caught the "Frank" Carl is looking for. Carl was tricked, and Frank used this moment to run.
Carl then realize that he was tricked by Frank just after Frank ran away.

Paula Abagnale : Just tell me how much he owes and I'll pay you back.
Carl Hanratty : So far, it's about 1.3 million dolars.
Frank then continue his journey by disguising himself as doctor, and even lawyer. He's getting smarter and smarter at the art of disguise and check copying. He even managed to propose to a nurse, and they'll marry soon.
But then, he felt lonely. Out of nowhere he called Carl. He told Carl that he's getting married. That Carl should stop chasing him. This only brought Carl to his laughter, and he said:
"You just have no one else to call right? Ha!"
Frank quickly hung the phone.
On the day where Frank married, Carl came to catch him. Frank managed to ran away after revealed his secrets to his wife, and promised to came back to pick her up.
But in the end, his wife is used by the FBI to caught him. So in the end Frank lived his life alone again, until Carl finally caught him when he's making his check at some printing office in France.
This time, he finally got caught.

Frank lived the rest of his life in jail. Carl is the only one who often visit him. Until one day, Carl brought him a check. Frank just simply commented on that check, he said: "It's a fake."
Which brought Carl into his curiosity. Frank then explained why he said that. The explanation was so clear and confident, which impress Carl.
Carl then decided to take Frank into FBI, and make him work there as a check checker.

Carl, how long do I have to work here?
Carl Hanratty : 7:15 in the morning, 4:00 in the afternoon, 45 minutes for lunch.
Frank Abagnale, Jr : I mean, how long?
Carl Hanratty : Every day. Every day, Frank, until we let you go.
By working with the FBI, Frank gained his freedom. It is like he's living a normal life, not a prisoner life.
And one day he decided to wear his pilot uniform and run once again. Carl caught him, but let him go again just because he believe that Frank will go back.
But he wasn't there on the next day.
He just wasn't there.
Carl is a bit frustrated, because the new one for the job aren't as smart as Frank. He even decided to take a loot at the check himself.
"Mind if I take a look?"
Until out of nowhere Frank came back. He came back just like that, and do his job like he never ran away before.
The credits then roll on, and told that fact this movie is:
