Movie Review: Catch Me If You Can

Summary:
Frank Abagnale Jr. have lived his life by being a pilot, a doctor, and a lawyer. And he's just 19 years old.

Storyline (Warning: Contain Spoilers!)
The story begin with Frank Abagnale, the father of Frank Abagnale Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio) giving a speech. He gave his usual quotes that resulted in everyone applause for him.
"Two little mice fell in a bucket of cream. The first mouse quickly gave
up and drowned. The second mouse, wouldn't quit. He struggled so hard
that eventually he churned that cream into butter and crawled out.
Gentlemen, as of this moment, I am that second mouse."
The story then goes on until Frank get in high school, and being bullied because of his formal clothes. This is the first time where Frank show his intelligent. At that time when his friend started to shouting at him, he acts as if he's the teacher. He even make the teacher who supposed to teach that time leave. After this incident, the counseling called both Frank and his parents. But after that they just laugh.
It's a happy family story until Frank's parents decided to get divorced. This brought Frank into shock, then he decided to run away from home by bringing his check book.
This is where the story really began, I think.
As Frank didn't brought any money and only brought his check book (well he didn't have any money because he's just a high school student of course), he started to think of a plan. He tried to visit various bank to take money from his check book but always failed.
Until he finally got his first money after he have visited like thousand banks.
From here, he started to learn...
how to make copy of a check.
After that, he learned that if he became a pilot he'll have more check book with great value of money inside it. He wanted to become a pilot then. To achieve that, he disguised himself as a school reporter and went to airport to find information about how to be a pilot. He did all of this just to learn how to disguise himself as a pilot.

As day goes by, some FBI agent started to notice him. His name is Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks. Carl then started his investigation on Frank, until one day they finally met each other at some inn where Frank stays.

But again, Frank used his intelligence to get away from this situation. He's impersonating as another agent to tricking Carl that he already caught the "Frank" Carl is looking for. Carl was tricked, and Frank used this moment to run.
Carl then realize that he was tricked by Frank just after Frank ran away.

Carl Hanratty : So far, it's about 1.3 million dolars.
Frank then continue his journey by disguising himself as doctor, and even lawyer. He's getting smarter and smarter at the art of disguise and check copying. He even managed to propose to a nurse, and they'll marry soon.
But then, he felt lonely. Out of nowhere he called Carl. He told Carl that he's getting married. That Carl should stop chasing him. This only brought Carl to his laughter, and he said:
"You just have no one else to call right? Ha!"
Frank quickly hung the phone.
On the day where Frank married, Carl came to catch him. Frank managed to ran away after revealed his secrets to his wife, and promised to came back to pick her up.
But in the end, his wife is used by the FBI to caught him. So in the end Frank lived his life alone again, until Carl finally caught him when he's making his check at some printing office in France.
This time, he finally got caught.

Frank lived the rest of his life in jail. Carl is the only one who often visit him. Until one day, Carl brought him a check. Frank just simply commented on that check, he said: "It's a fake."
Which brought Carl into his curiosity. Frank then explained why he said that. The explanation was so clear and confident, which impress Carl.
Carl then decided to take Frank into FBI, and make him work there as a check checker.

Carl, how long do I have to work here?
Carl Hanratty : 7:15 in the morning, 4:00 in the afternoon, 45 minutes for lunch.
Frank Abagnale, Jr : I mean, how long?
Carl Hanratty : Every day. Every day, Frank, until we let you go.
By working with the FBI, Frank gained his freedom. It is like he's living a normal life, not a prisoner life.
And one day he decided to wear his pilot uniform and run once again. Carl caught him, but let him go again just because he believe that Frank will go back.
But he wasn't there on the next day.
He just wasn't there.
Carl is a bit frustrated, because the new one for the job aren't as smart as Frank. He even decided to take a loot at the check himself.
"Mind if I take a look?"
Until out of nowhere Frank came back. He came back just like that, and do his job like he never ran away before.
The credits then roll on, and told that fact this movie is:

Next Leader: Vote Me

Well, here I am now in front of you guys. Do you know what am I gonna do here? No? Well, let me introduce myself first. My name is Anjani Yaumil Arafah, from XI IPA 2. I am standing here in front of you guys as one of the candidates of student council president. Afterwards, I will tell what I want to do with this-so-called important organization.
Student council is one of the organization that exist in school. Almost all of the school's activity are held and regulated by Student Council. So it's like if there is no Student Council in a school, the school will be dead—no other activities beside studying. The result is, not good for the students soul and career.
From what I explained, it seems that this organization is so formal right? Of course not, because if I am elected as The President of Student Council, I have a vision to make this organization a place to learn and have fun at the same time, as well as maintaining the school achievement. To acquire this, I have some missions also.
First, I need to find the chemistry between us. I want to have The Student Council not as organization, but as family. So one of my missions is to make a family members chemistry between us.
Second, I need to build up everyone skill and knowledge to make us work nice and efficiently. So another mission of mine is to make The Student Council members having a good knowledge and character.
Third, I want to make this school different than any other school. I want this school to be the best. Not only in academy, but in non-academy also. So my third mission is to make a big event that can increase academy and non-academy knowledge.
Therefore, I have programs to achieve all of those missions.
First, I have a picnic or field trip with Student Council members. Here, we will only play along. We will just have fun. It is forbidden to think about studying or organization. It's an ultimate form of refreshing.
Second, make an exclusive but fun day to learn skill and knowledge. We can do this with the concept of field trip also, so it'll be more exciting.
Third, make a school festival about knowledge. Also add a lot of art concept, so it won't be boring. I also want a free music concert held here, for the beggar and street kids to watch. It'll be a lot of fun to share with others.
That's it for my visions, missions, and programs. The choice is in your hand, as I only give you choices. Whatever the result may, let's just hope that it's the best for this school. But I still hope that the best choice is to choose me.

Natural Phenomenon: Tornado

What is a tornado?
A tornado is a violent rotating column of air extending from a thunderstorm to
the ground. The most violent tornadoes are capable of tremendous destruction
with wind speeds of up to 300 mph. They can destroy large buildings, uproot
trees and hurl vehicles hundreds of yards. They can also drive straw into
trees. Damage paths can be in excess of one mile wide to 50 miles long. In an
average year, 1000 tornadoes are reported nationwide.
How do tornadoes form?
Most tornadoes form from thunderstorms. You need warm, moist air from the Gulf
of Mexico and cool, dry air from Canada. When these two air masses meet, they
create instability in the atmosphere. A change in wind direction and an
increase in wind speed with increasing height creates an invisible, horizontal
spinning effect in the lower atmosphere. Rising air within the updraft tilts
the rotating air from horizontal to vertical. An area of rotation, 2-6 miles
wide, now extends through much of the storm. Most strong and violent tornadoes
form within this area of strong rotation.
What are some other factors for tornadoes to form?Several conditions are required for the development of tornadoesand the
thunderstorm clouds with which most tornadoes are associated. Abundant low
level moisture is necessary to contribute to the development of a thunderstorm,
and a "trigger" (perhaps a cold front or other low level zone of
converging winds) is needed to lift the moist air aloft. Once the air begins to
rise and becomes saturated, it will continue rising to great heights to produce
a thunderstorm cloud, if the atmosphere is unstable. An unstable atmosphere is
one whre the temperature decreases rapidly with height. Atmospheric
instability can also occur when dry air overlays moist air near the earth's
surface. Finally, tornadoes usually form in areas where winds at all levels of
the atmosphere are not only strong, but also turn with height in a clockwise or
veering direction.
What do tornadoes look like?
Tornadoes can appear as a traditional funnel shape, or in a slender rope-like
form. Some have a churning, smoky look to them, and other contain
"multiple vortices", which are small, individual tornadoes rotating
around a common center. Even others may be nearly invisible, with only swirling
dust or debris at ground levels as the only indication of the tornado's
presence.
What is a funnel cloud?
A funnel cloud is a rotating cone-shaped column of air extending downward from
the base of a thunderstorm, but not touching the ground. When it reaches the
ground it is called a tornado.
How do tornadoes stop?
It is not fully understood about how exactly tornadoes form, grow and die.
Tornado researchers are still trying to solve the tornado puzzle, but for every
piece that seems to fit they often uncover new pieces that need to be studied.
What is a supercell thunderstorm?
A supercell thunderstorm is a long-lived thunderstorm whose updrafts and
downdrafts are in near balance. These storms have the greatest tendency to
produce tornadoes that stay on the ground for long periods of time. Supercell
thunderstorms can produce violent tornadoes with winds exceeding 200 mph.
What is a mesocyclone?
A mesocyclone is a rotating vortex of air within a supercell thunderstorm.
Mesocyclones do not always produce tornadoes.
What is a microburst?
A microburst is a downdraft (sinking air) in a thunderstorm that is less than
2.5 miles in scale. Although microbursts are not as widely recognized as
tornadoes, they can cause comparable, and in some cases, worse damage than some
tornadoes produce. In fact, wind speeds as high as 150 mph are possible in
extreme microburst cases.
What is a wall cloud?
A wall cloud is an abrupt lowering of a rain-free cumulonimbus base into a
low-hanging accessory cloud. A wall cloud is usually situated in the southwest
portion of the storm. A rotating wall cloud usually develops before tornadoes
or funnel clouds.
What is a waterspout?
A waterspout is just a weak tornado that forms over water. They are most common
along the Gulf Coast. Waterspouts can sometimes move inland, becoming tornadoes
causing damage and injuries.
What is hail?
Hail is created when small water droplets are caught in the updraft of a
thunderstorm. These water droplets are lifted higher and higher into the sky
until they freeze into ice. Once they become heavy, they will start to fall. If
the smaller hailstones get caught in the updraft again, they will get more
water on them and get lifted higher in the sky and get bigger. Once they get
lifted again, they freeze and fall. This happens over and over again until the hailstone
is too heavy and then falls to the ground.
What is the largest hailstone recorded in the United States?
According to the National Weather Service, the largest hailstone is 8 inches in
diameter and weights approximately 2 pounds. It fell in Vivian, South Dakota on
July 23, 2010.
What is a gustnado?
A gustnado is a short-lived, relatively weak whirlwind that forms along a gust
front. A gust front is the surge of very gusty winds at the leading edge of a
thunderstorm's outflow of air. Gustnadoes are not tornadoes. They do not
connect with any cloud-base rotation. But because gustnadoes often have a
spinning dust cloud at ground level, they are sometimes wrongly reported as
tornadoes. Gustnadoes can do minor damage.
What is a landspout?
A landspout is a very weak tornado that is not associated with a wall cloud or
a mesocyclone. It is the land equivalent of a waterspout.
What is a dust devil?
A dust devil generally forms in the hot sun during the late morning or early
afternoon hours. These are mostly harmless whirlwinds and are triggered by
light desert breezes that create a swirling plume of dust with speeds rarely
over 70 mph. These differ from tornadoes in that they are not associated with a
thunderstorm (or any cloud) and are usually very weak.
When are tornadoes most likely to occur?
Tornadoes can happen at any time of the year and at any time of the day. In the
southern states, peak tornado season is from March through May. Peak times for
tornadoes in the northern states are during the summer. A few southern states
have a second peak time for tornado outbreaks in the fall. Tornadoes are most
likely to occur between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Where are tornadoes most likely to occur?
The geography of the central part of the United States, known as the Great
Plains, is suited to bring all of the ingredients together to forms tornadoes.
More than 500 tornadoes typically occur in this area every year and is why it
is commonly known as "Tornado Alley". Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas,
Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana
all make up Tornado Alley.

Tornado Safety Tips
BEFORE A TORNADO: Have a disaster plan. Make sure everyone knows where
to go in case a tornado threatens. Make sure you know which county or parish
you live in. Prepare a kit with emergency food for your home. Have enough food
and water for at least 3 days.
DURING A TORNADO: Go to a basement. If you do not have a basement, go to
an interior room without windows on the lowest floor such as a bathroom or
closet. If you can, get under a sturdy piece of furniture, like a table. If you
live in a mobile home get out. They offer little protection against tornadoes.
Get out of automobiles. Do not try to outrun a tornado in your car, leave it
immediately. If you’re outside, go to a ditch or low lying area and lie flat in
it. Stay away from fallen power lines and stay out of damaged areas.
IF YOU’RE AT SCHOOL DURING A TORNADO: Every school should have a
disaster plan and have frequent drills. Basements offer the best protection.
Schools without basements should use interior rooms and hallways on the lowest
floor away from windows. Crouch down on your knees and protect your head with
your arms.
AFTER A TORNADO: Stay indoors until it is safe to come out. Check for
injured or trapped people, without putting yourself in danger. Watch out for
downed power lines. Use a flashlight to inspect your home.

Holiday

These are the days whom students always wait for. The long holiday of the end of the semester, as well as new year eve holiday. Usually it's 14 days long. And well, as for me it's from December 20th, 2013 until January 6th, 2014. It's 17 days.
So, what I've done in those 17 days?
December 20th, 2014.
The first day of holiday, as well as the day where we students got our report. Heaven and hell at the same time. Most of the students got nervous today.
Well, thank God I passed every subject. Even though my score is a bit decreasing... but I'm still relieved. So, I quickly prepare what I really wanted to do on this first day of holiday.
Yesterday is my best friend birthday. But yesterday we're still doing 'Bakti Desa' activity, so I can't celebrate it. So me and my friend choose today to celebrate it.
Me and my other best friend decided to gave him a mug. But we didn't bought/brought any cake that day, but I've brought a candle. Fortunately, that day the festival committee are selling doughnuts, so me and my best friend decided to bought the doughnuts as an exchange for the cake.
Then, we went to 3rd floor and have our surprise there. We sang and we take a picture.
Happyyyy birthdaaaaay.
At the same day, I also celebrating Andika's birthday. This time it's me and my classmates. We celebrated his birthday at KFC in Riau Street. This time there's a real cake. :))
Still in the same day, I celebrated Eka's birthday also. Together with my classmates and a few Perwakilan Kelas members. Actually Eka's birthday is supposed to be celebrated together with Andika's ... but Eka wasn't in KFC Riau so we celebrated it after that, when we got back to school:(
So, I've celebrated 3 birthdays in one day, isn't it amazing?

It's mother days, but I didn't really what to give to my mom, so I gave her this:

January 2nd, 2014.
My new year eve isn't really special cause I'm staying home and doing my
Gambar Teknik task. So let's skip to my class trip, to
Moko Highland.
So the so called Pirates or XI IPA 2 decided to have a trip to Moko Highland to see sunrise. To do that, we have to go around 4.30 o'clock, so we stay the night at Hani's place.

At night we ate doughnuts while playing card, the go outside to play fireworks. We had so much fun!! But we're tired and have to wake up in the morning (I mean really really morning) so we decided to sleep.
Well, we woke up at 3.30 o'clock. We started to prepare for things until 4.30 o'clock. We have the Shubuh prayer, and went to Moko Highland afterwards.
We arrived at Moko Highland at 5.00 o'clock. The sky have turned dark blue by then, but we didn't found even a single trace of sunrise. So we waited by talking and taking pictures.

The clock still ticking and ticking... until it's 6.00 o'clock. We still haven't see our sunrise!! :( But because it's cold and we started to craving for food, we order some food. There's a cafe there, so it's not so hard to find food.

And... as we expected the sun finally rises... from behind us. So, there's a huge hill behind us. That is the east, actually. And the sun rises from there. What a very disappointing fact:(

Summary of Short Story: "The Dragon Rock"

The story start with a story of a village with a big rock that resemble a dragon. Children often play around it, dancing and singing. They believe that this rock was a real dragon and they aren't scared of it. Because, the dragon never ever move, even for a n inch.
Until the dry season came to the village. There are no rain for a very very long time. The villager started to become worry. Then, one of the children pointed out that the dragon will help. But the villager didn't believe it. The tale of the dragon cannot be true, so they said.
Because the villager didn't believe what he said, he had his own plan. He and the other children will call for the dragon themselves. So they dancing and dancing around the rock, chanting the rhyme and throwing flowers.
Unfortunately, nothing happened.
But soon, the rock really move. It really became a dragon. The villager gathered around to see what happened. The dragon just sneezed and sneezed, and magically the village turn into a beautiful village. No more lack of water and no more dust. What used to be a dirty, brown dust bowl, now gleamed and glistened in the sunlight, sending playful waves and ripples across the lake and inviting all to share.

Analytical Exposition : Bobotoh

Usually, every soccer club have supporter. The supporter consists of a lot of individual that form a group. One of the group is called Bobotoh. It is the supporter for Persib, soccer club from Bandung.
The function of supporter is to support. So, Bobotoh also supporting Persib when they play. They will come to every Persib match, and support them by cheering on them, playing trumpet, and so on. It's almost like they will do everything to support Persib, so they can win.
Looking from this side, it seems like the existence of Bobotoh give a positive impact. But, let's take a look to the other side.
Every time Bobotoh come to the stadium to support Persib, they will cause traffic jam. Why? Because Bobotoh consists of a lot of person. And they usually come by convoy. This is the causes of traffic jam. The problem is, the traffic jam can last for three hours or more.
Moreover, they also make people afraid. Imagine there are a very lot of person convoying along the road. Add anarchy to it. Isn't it scary? Especially if we get caught in the middle of it. Or mistaken as the other team's supporter.
So, the solution for this problem is to have the police regulate this Bobotoh every time Persib has a match. We cannot just erase Bobotoh existence from Bandung, because Bobotoh existence is important to support Persib. So we just have to regulate them, not erase them completely.

Hello!
So this is another assignment from my English teacher. She told class to make list about what we'll do if we:
get 1 Billion IDR.
1. I'll donate some of it to people who need it more than me. Never enjoy your own happiness without sharing it to other!
2. I'll save some of it, in case something urgent happen later.
3. I'll renovate my home. Especially renovate it to make a very nice kitchen. I love to cook. :')
4. I'll buy a laptop. I'll use it to write, cause I love to write. Moreover, I prefer to write in the laptop than in the computer. :p
5. I'll buy an iPhone. Not really sure why.
6. I'll buy a lot of food. Cakes. Chocolate. Ice cream. A lot.
7. I'll go on culinary vacation around the town.
8. I'll go on a holiday to ride roller coaster.
9. I'll buy a lot of novels.
10. I'll pay all of my debts.

Well, no one wants to be alone. And everyone deserve to not be alone, right?
4. Playing piano and violin nicely.
I love music. Both of listen to it and playing it on the instrument. And it means so much to me to be able to play it on piano and violin. Like you are merging with the music, the heart, and the soul of the music. :')
5. See a beautiful scenery.
Especially sky scenery!!! My favorite scenery all the time. Because sky consists of a lot of aspect for a scenery (rainbow, rain, cloud, the calming blue, the lovely orange of sunset, the beautiful night sky!) it's never boring to watch the sky.

6. Get things that I want.
I have a lot of things that I want. Like this food, that food, those food... (I love food so much). Or gadgets, or books, a lot. :)) And of course getting what I want is a source of my happiness, right?

To make people by cook them a delicious food. It's really amazing, isn't it? That's why I want to be a chef.
8. Drawing.
One of my hobbies that I have since I were kid. And still, even until now. Or maybe 10 years later.
9. Reading.
One of my hobbies also. Reading increase your knowledge and entertain you as well. And book is one of the best teacher isn't it? It teaches you without act like a teacher that is 'I-know-everything-so-just-listen-to-me-and-shut-up'.
10. Writing.
I love to read, and I want people to read what I write.

Criteria
This scholarship is limited to students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. Students must have the following:
- Minimum cumulative GPA 3.00
- Full-time student
- Submission of a blog that does not exceed 1,000 words
This award is geared towards students with an interest in ecommerce, web development, digital media or online marketing, but this concentration is not required.
Blog posts will be judged on:

- Creativity
- Visibility (Does the applicant’s blog beg to be shared on Twitter, FB, other blogs, etc.?)
Terms and Conditions
Responsibilities of Recipients
The scholarship recipient must be an actively enrolled, full-time student – freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student – during the spring semester of 2014 and through the complete duration of the academic school year without interruption, with the exception of the event of an emergency, illness or call to military service. It is the responsibility of the recipient to verify the receipt of funds with their appointed institution or to notify Zingbroadband.com if the awarded check is not received within 30 days of the issue date.
College/University Approval
Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited university that is listed on the U.S. Department of Education website. All new transfer students are subject to show proof of accreditation.
Winner Selection and Announcement
The winner is selected by a panel of judges following a thorough review of all entries submitted. The review process will begin after the deadline of 5 p.m. EST November 30, 2013 . The winner will be announced on Zingbroadband.com and notified directly by Zing! Broadband on or around December 20, 2013. The judging panel will include the Zing! Broadband Marketing Director, Web Development Coordinator and the Content Coordinator.
Description of Funds
The winner will be awarded a one-time $1,000 scholarship that will be made payable via mail to the accredited university as designated by the applicant after November 30, 2013 . The award is to be applied to college or grad school expenses including tuition, books, fees, and on-campus housing for the 2014 academic school year.
Applicant Eligibility
All applicants must be a United States citizen or a permanent legal resident of the U.S. Employees and immediate family of those employed by Zingbroadband.com at the time of the scholarship opportunity are ineligible for consideration.
Post Criteria
All submissions must be 100% unique. By applying for this award, each applicant claims that his/her entry is a product of original authorship produced by the said applicant, and agrees that Zingbroadband.com will have lasting, non-exclusive, royalty-free rights and license to repost or display the submission in any manner. Penguin.

Well, hello. I want to talk about penguin now.

Penguin is a flightless bird which live in the Antarctic/Southern Hemisphere area. It is called a flightless bird because it has wings (like birds) but it cannot fly. Because the wings have evolved into flippers. The penguin use it for swimming instead flying.
Penguin's Appearance
Like what is showed in the picture.
Penguin have two main color. That is black on the back side, and white on the front side. Actually this isn't just some random color. Both of them have their own function for camouflage.
The white color on the front side is useful to camouflage from the predator below. The predator won't be able to differentiate between a penguin belly and the reflective water surface. The black color on the back side also used to camouflage from the predator above.

Penguin lifespan is about 15-20 years. The one which usually reach to 20 years is the emperor penguin.
Emperor penguin is the largest penguin of penguin's kind. It's height can reach to as tall as human. Even though it is big, but it can only lay 1 egg, unlike the other penguin which lay 2 eggs.
When the female penguin have lay the egg, it will go to the sea to find food. While the male penguin take care of the egg by keeping it warm between their legs. The female will return to the land when the egg have hatched. They will feed their child with the food that is inside their mouth already. After that the male will go to the sea to find food.
What's amazing about penguin is that they are very loyal to their partner. Because, once a penguin married another penguin, they will never cheated for their whole life. Sweet! :')
